It’s been a bit, hasn’t it?

I was never a very prolific blogger—microblogging and social media sort of sucked up my interest just as I was starting to work on writing more. But over the past five years, I’ve left F*cebook and Tw*tter and feel I need somewhere to communicate my thoughts. I do have a presence on Mastodon, but I am using it much less than I ever used the others.

My plan, over the course of the rest of 2023, is to edit some of my old posts (they need it, and the many migrations I’ve done from Blogger to WordPress to Medium and back to WordPress has left some cruft and broken links floating around; you will see there’s already an 11-year-old post under this one at the time of publishing) and then bring them back on here. I aim to make this a fairly minimal blog—just text, with an occasional photo or video. And there will be no comments—this is my place, not one I want to “engage” in.

Whatever this site ends up being, I hope you find something interesting here.
